As the Thai are of small stature, the martial techniques presented have been battle field tested demonstrating that a smaller person can defend against a larger adversary – which is often the case in real life. Jerry Heines' new book is like the jet fighter the A-10 Warthog. The A-10 is not an aircraft with guns, but it is actually a gun, with an aircraft built around it, the A-10 is built to kill tanks, and killing tanks ain't pretty work.
But the information is just that - efficient and not very pretty...and rather brutal.
Do yourself a favor and look into Dynamic Muay Thai with Martial Applications, and be sure to view it as a text book. Mark the book up, tab it and if you do that you will have a nice amount of cross system techniques tempered with the direct and smash mouth view of martial arts the way Muay Tai sees the arts.
